About the college
Maharana Pratap Ayurvedic College & Hospital is dedicated to providing comprehensive training programs in Ayurvedic medicine, ensuring that our students acquire a well-rounded education in this ancient healing system. Our Ayurveda college programs encompass a wide range of subjects, allowing students to develop a deep understanding of Ayurvedic principles and practices.
Anatomy and physiology form a fundamental part of our curriculum, providing students with knowledge of the human body and its functioning from an Ayurvedic perspective. This understanding serves as the foundation for diagnosing and treating imbalances in the body.
Herbal medicine is a core component of Ayurveda, and we emphasize its study to ensure that our students are well-versed in the medicinal properties of various herbs and plants. They learn how to prepare and administer herbal remedies to promote healing and restore balance.
Massage, another essential aspect of Ayurveda, is taught to our students as a therapeutic technique for promoting relaxation, improving circulation, and detoxifying the body. They acquire hands-on experience in different massage techniques and understand their specific benefits for different conditions.
Meditation and mindfulness practices are integral to Ayurvedic medicine, as they contribute to overall well-being and balance. Students learn various meditation techniques and their applications in promoting mental and emotional health.
Dietary principles are emphasized to educate our students about the impact of food on health. They gain knowledge of Ayurvedic nutrition, including the concept of individual body types or doshas, and how to create personalized dietary plans to restore balance and prevent disease.
The philosophy and principles of Ayurveda are explored in depth, allowing students to grasp the underlying concepts and approach to health and wellness. They learn about the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit and understand the holistic nature of Ayurvedic healing.
Our flagship undergraduate program is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S), which typically spans five and a half years. This program combines classroom learning with practical training at our esteemed Maharana Pratap Ayurvedic College & Hospital. Through a comprehensive curriculum, students develop a solid foundation in Ayurvedic theory and gain practical experience in diagnosing and treating patients.
Upon successful completion of the B.A.M.S program, our graduates are eligible to become licensed Ayurvedic practitioners. They possess the necessary knowledge and skills to provide competent and holistic care to individuals and communities, promoting health and wellness through Ayurvedic principles.
In addition to the undergraduate program, B.A.M.S graduates are eligible for the position of Medical Officers, allowing them to work in various healthcare settings, including government hospitals and clinics. Furthermore, those who wish to specialize and deepen their knowledge can pursue postgraduate programs in specialized streams of Ayurvedic Medicine, thereby enhancing their expertise in specific areas of interest.
